How do I know what size snowboard i am?
While this seems like an easy answer there is no quick answer. A board size is
dependent on what style of riding you want to do, how much you weigh, how big
your feet are, how wide you want your stance is and then this changes for every
model of board you look at. A good indication that lots of people us is just
under your chin, but this form of measurement will only take you so far. The
easiest option is come into Ballistics and we will not only kit you out in the
perfect size board but the one that suits your every need.
How long will my board/skis take to get serviced?
Depending on what you need done depends on the wait. During peak times a full
service can take up to a week, but just bring your gear in as soon as you can
prior to going down to the hill. The secret is bring your board in without
bindings on and we will rip it through quicker.
My feet hurt in my boots what can i do about it?
If the boots are purchased off us in-store we have a 100% boot fit guarantee so
we will mold them for free. We can also heat mold your boots at a cost if they
are mold-able or we can blow ski boot shells out if they are purchase
elsewhere. The fees will just depend on the amount of work required.
I just purchased a new board. what needs to be done to it?
Every new board that is purchased either in our shop or online will be
de-tuned and waxed for free. This is a cost of $25 if you bring a board in
purchased from somewhere else. although many places will inform you that this
is not important... it is. A board comes waxed more for storage and transport
and a hot wax will really impregnate the base ready to ride. The extra detuning
of the edges will also make sure the board is catch free and releases.
Do you have a late night?
No sorry we dont have a late night but we are open Saturday and Sunday
How do I slay the purple Dragon?
This is clearly a mythical creature that does not exist. Even though Nic Hale
insists on searching for it.
How do I get a better wake behind my boat?
There are a multitude of different techniques that can be used to get a better
wake. The best idea is purchasing a lesson or bring your boat to the shop so we
can show you. a combination of a high pole/tower, phat sacs and a spectra line
can turn even an average boat into a sick ride.
What size wakeboard do I need?
Every wakeboard comes in 3 to 5 sizes. Imagine these sizes are small,
medium and large. Then look at the shape size and weight of the main people
riding the board and pick a size that suits them.
If I love 'Fruit Booting' how do I make friends?
Unfortunately if the one sport you have chosen is fruit booting you are deemed
a life with no friends and possibly no soul and no advice we have can save you.
