Anderson Romero
My name is Anderson Romero and I am 16. I am a kite boarder and currently live in the North Shore of Auckland. I began kitesurfing in March 2008. My twin brother Daniel had recently discovered kiting and so I gave it a try. Since then, I have never looked back. My brothers and I kite as often as we can, whenever there is wind. The only way to get better is to be out there all the time, every day you can, that’s the only way to push yourself to the limits!
I competed in the PKRA Teri Kitesurf Pro in New Caledonia last November and placed 9th in the event with the final ranking of 16th.
I also competed in the 2010 Canterbury Champs in Christchurch, where I placed 3rd in the Women’s division and 1st in the Girls Junior (under
18) division. I will be returning this November to New Cal and Australia to compete again in the PKRA.
At the moment I ride a Styx 2010 and an 8m or a 10m Naish Torch Helix 2010 depending on the gusty winds of New Zealand!
