Wakeskating

I first started out in 2005 with my feet strapped into
one of those wakeboard thingies. That Christmas I went back down South to visit
my family and told my dad all about the sweet strapping I had been doing. After
just 17 seconds of listening to my stories of tantrums and twirlybirds, dad
spat in my face, ripped the bindings from my board and stuck on some sandpaper.
He grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and said, “Son, if you don’t go out and
learn some wicked sick skate tricks I’ll waste you!”
